- Please tally check list given by Shineway against the received vehicle
- Please be sure to adjust the seating position, rear view mirrors etc to your required position before moving off.
- Brake lightly a few times to gauge the braking distance, effectiveness of the brakes. If your vehicle is not equipped with ABS (Anti-locking Braking System) ensure that wheel lock doesn’t occur during hard braking.
- If your car is equipped with child seats, make sure that such seats are properly harnessed and children using them are properly belted facing the correct direction.
- Please ensure that the vehicle is always locked when parked to prevent theft of any valuables in the car. Take simple measures to prevent unwanted attention being drawn to the vehicle such as not leaving valuables on the seats.
- Always apply the handbrake after parking the vehicle and put the transmission in gear (manual) or in the park position (automatic transmission) to prevent any creeping of the wheels.
- Shineway Rent-a-Car takes all possible measures to have the vehicles it rents in the very best running condition but in the interest of safety and trouble free motoring, it is the responsibility of the renter to check the fluid levels including engine oil, coolant, windshield washer etc. This is especially so after a long, all day drive.
